The Knighted Bull
A massive, broad bull with a shiny black coat and handsome horns. He is adorned in sterling plate armor, with a lady's favor tied around his right horn.
This Bull was once an ordinary farm beast raised for labor, until a rampaging monster found its way into his pen. The Bull slew the monster and saved the life of the knight questing after it.
The townspeople threw a celebration for their bovine savior, and the knight, light-headed on wine wnd victory, knighted the brave beast.
An oath offered in jest was taken in earnest, however. The Bull began training each day, sparring with its fellow bulls and kneeling in respect of any noble. When his chivalrous nature could not be denied, the local princess had the beast of burden fitted in fine steel befitting his title.
The bull patrols the hex his village is found in throughout the day, seeking foes to vanquish and quests to undertake. He retires at sunset after grazing before a mural of the Virgin Mary. Twice a week, the warrior who knighted him comes to his pen to spar with the beast.
